Holy Moly....BokieMole's 60th Birthday Bash.....

Maggotx and the Mrs X went to Baaahhhstan...last weekend for Vinny Bag O'Donuts 6oth Birthday Celebration....a Good time was had by all.....We even survived the event, which ended up with Revelry and Drunken Dabauchery...

EVIL VINNIE.....THE BAD 60th BIRTHDAY CLOWN.....!!!!

VINNY BAG O'DONUTS AND HIS LOVERLY WIFE AGIDA ZABAGLIONE...

The next day we played Disc Golf at Simonds park in Burlington Massachusetts.    It was a very pleasant and challenging 9 hole course.  The only downside was the Poison Ivy undergrowth if you didn't stay in the Fairway....and as the Blog readers know...Maggotx has trouble staying in the fairway....   anyway here is some info on Simonds Park.

Fun little course

Pros: Convenient location, decent variety, good baskets, tons of parking, good lines on all holes will make you use a variety of shots, good use of space, skatepark/playground/etc. also in the park.
Cons: Short, all par 3, poison ivy in the summer is everywhere, undergrowth needs to be removed from rough (p.i. and lots of tiny trees trying to grow up), people walking dogs through course, some trash
Other Thoughts: This course reminds me of a mini-amesbury as it is nestled into a pine forest for 7 of the 9 holes (other two are open field holes). It is short and won't test your arm, but does offer some challenging shots for birdies (I was stoked to birdie #5 by parking the basket with a Wasp, this is a great hole). The 330' open field shot does let you see if you really can throw over 300 feet like you think you can :-)
Will be a great little course with more TLC, teeboxes and clearing of the underbrush. Not much fun in the summer with all the poison ivy! It would be great to see a few of the holes made a bit longer or have alternate tees, esp #6 and #7 could be backed up some. #7 is nice but would be an even better challenge if set back about 30ft further so you have to throw through those first two trees. #8 could also be moved back into the corner a bit more perhaps?

Happy Birthday Vinnie! Happy you guys had a great time. I like the poison ivy incentive to stay on the fairway. Great course design.

Thank you to the MGX clan and the ErrrrrrAhhhhhMaaaahks clan for helping the donut boy celebrate. And special thanks to Agida for planning the event and Maaahhhk for providing his chef talents to the festivities. I had a fun night with Capn Morgan and fun the following day playing disc golf. So far, NO RASH!

Hey Vinnie!! Haaaappy Birthday!!! No rash yet? You should never have followed the MGX naked into the brush. Never!!!! OH well at last you must learn your lesson on making rash decisions .

Oh and Maggot I think your new blog design is too dark. But you know what they say about opinions.

Wow MX, stylish new blog looks, who's your designer...we must talk!!Indeed, any event that brings together Senor Maggotx and Senora Maggotx and the Bag O'Donuts' is bund to be riotous! Maggotx neglected to mention the "practice" round of DG on the grounds of the private school during which Errrr Ahhhh lost a violently thrown disc down a thickly forested and poison ivied embankment. Out HERO, the Grand Puba of DG, "skittered" down the 40foot drop off to rescue said disc and disc and return it to its' unworthy master! Thank you Meeeeeeegaaaul!

Maaaaahhhhk....And MGX did that for you after the hole in which you almost hit him in the face.
Amazing!
