Kansas City Disc Golf World's Trip & Day 1

Mrs X and Maggotx left NJ on Sat before dawn.... we drove 13 hours straight and spent the night in Effinham, Illinois.....nestled between Teutopolis and Funkhouser.....If you think I'm joking check out the link below....

anyway....I can't believe we stayed in the "Effing" place...but we woke up to a good omen....the Bud Light Lounge right outside our Hotel room....too bad it wasn't happy hour...!!!

We woke up early,, and after several more hours passed through beautiful St. Louis Mo.

After driving through a never ending landscape of Cows, Corn and Clouds... after a total of 1,200 miles we finally arrived in Kansas City, Mo.

We checked in at the Awesome Embassy Suites and secured our reservation....here is a view of the Atrium from our Hotel Room front door.......

After checking in we were driven by the hotel courtesy van to the Westin Crown Plaza, site of the Disc Golf World's events...I registered and received a Fantastic player's package....

Picture of the logo from the HD Hotel monitor....

Maggotx after registration

PDGA Worlds 2009 Players Package...!!!!

After a Bar Lounge Dinner and a Crazy Cool....LEGO Art Display....(see Below)

we attended the player's meeting .....all the Big Name Open Players and Am's were present....over 900 players.....when we left the meeting, a HUGE storm ripped through Kansas City......with rain in the forecast the fields are expected to be a mess for the start date tomorrow...I have 2 games tomorrow, one at 11:00 am and one at 3:00 pm.

..will keep you posted of Maggotx's Excellent Disc Golf Adventure......

Hey, looks like a great time! Beautiful lobby.

I wanna know what's inside the Bud Light lounge. Cases of Bud? Couches? Disco lights? Just hold on to your beer in case there's a bump.

Good luck with your games today!

The Bud Light Lounge probably opens up when parked at its host destination like the Barbeque Grill Tanker Truck soon to be featured on the blog. Yeah, Embassy Suites has a cool cookie cutter design that they employ on their hotels...if you don't place well don't succumb to the urge to jump all those levels like a circus performer into your consolation mahhhhhtini!! And HOLY SMOKES, that storm looks S C A R Y, but cool to watch!!! Can't wait to see the Players Package in the flesh some day soon. Best of luck in your events!!! Hello to Mrs. X, I mean DorothyX.

Wow! That LEGO artwork is neat.

900 players??

Kick some D-Golf butts out there and enjoy the tournament.

The Bud Light Lounge...Hmmmm. You could drink a dozen or so beers and not get buzzed so it wont bother your game. Good Luck MGX.

I got a little worried when you used the verb "nestled" between Teutopolis and Funkhouser... I thought you met some nice effers from effingham...

Everything looked really fun though!!
