Angry man shoots lawn mower for not starting

MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee man was accused of shooting his lawn mower because it wouldn't start. Keith Walendowski, 56, was charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed.

According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski said he was angry because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning. He told police quote, "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want."

A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She said he was intoxicated.

Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted.

A call to Walendowski's home went unanswered Friday morning.

Aww Mx; too bad you couldn't get a photo of the Lawn Boy in question. My first reaction was "If I had a Lawn Boy mower I'd shoot it too!". And then I wondered, did he shoot his lawn boy, the poor kid he hired to mow his lawn on a regular basis for not starting the job when he was told to???? If that were the case though, and the kid was an illegal immigrant, maybe Mr. Wacko-dowsky would have been given some leniency!!?? Great story, a great commentary on gun laws, I suppose.

errr ahhhh, you know it's your old expensive lawn mower that didn't work any more. You put it on the sidewalk with a sign saying " FREE LAWN MOWER>>>> TAKE IT,IT WORKS" When Mr Whacko found out it didn't work, he made a hitlist. LAwnmower first and then ErrrAhhhhh Mahk. Thank goodness he was apprehended before he got to the Mark compound.

what a nutcase. Maybe there should be an IQ test to get a gun permit?
